Student Resources

The Department of Africana Studies faculty provides students with academic support and services that will enhance their learning experience at California State University, Dominguez Hills. The goal of the faculty is to provide a nurturing environment that supports the development of young scholars, leaders and thinkers. Students are encouraged to participate in student organizations and governance. Additionally, the Department promotes the participation of students in regional, national and international activities that enhanced their knowledge and understanding of the African world (i.e., conferences, study/travel aboard and service learning programs). The Department of Africana Studies subscribes to the ideal of academic excellence and social responsibility for all Africana majors and minors.
