So what do I get for volunteering?

Volunteer experience is valuable in many ways.  The Alumni Volunteers in Action are high profile representatives of the University. Not only do you get the satisfaction of making a difference for the university, you will be building friendships and networks among other alumni, university, and community leaders.  Volunteer experience is real work experience, and the skills you gain are often considered in job applications and other work related environments. 

Alumni Volunteers in Action will be recognized on our website and in our e-newsletter, the Alumni Link.  Each year we will have an  AVIA  celebration and an Alumni Volunteer of the Year will be chosen.
