Marie V. Bañuelos
(B.A. English and Philosophy, 1975; M.A. Education, 1983) was selected as the new superintendent of Hanford Joint Union High School District (HJUHSD) in central California last month and will begin her role on July 1.


Janice Lloyd Govaerts
(B.A. Studio Art, 1991) has her exhibit of ceramic tower sculptures, titled “A Visitation of Sentinel Towers,” on display through Aug. 29 at the Barnsdall Art Park in Hollywood as part of the Junior Arts Center exhibition.

FanFest, hosted by the San Diego Chargers and Anheuser-Busch, will be at the Home Depot Center. The afternoon event will include autograph opportunities, interactive games, face painters, balloon artists, live music and the Charger Girls.

Tickets: $15
($14 for Alumni Association members), which includes: a reserved seat, a Dodger Dog, and soda. Tickets must be paid for by August 6.
