History
History
The Office of Alumni Relations was created in 1976 to advance
the university, promote common interests of its students and its
alumni; and to serve as liaison to the university, alumni, current
student population and the surrounding community. The office serves
as the alumni’s main point of contact with the University.
It is the coordination hub for the planning, directing, implementing
and evaluating of all programs that build greater alumni awareness,
interest, and involvement in the relationship with the University.
The office provides leadership and coordination for special alumni
events, recruits, trains and manages chapter and affinity volunteers.
Additionally, it is responsible for increasing alumni membership
and oversees the development and maintenance of campus affinity
groups. The Office of Alumni Relations maintains updates and tracks
more than 44,000+ alumni names and addresses to keep them informed
about their fellow alumni and their campus activities and events.
The office distributes brochures, newsletters, and flyers annually
promoting and marketing the CSUDH Alumni Association’s programs
and events.
Philosophy
Alumni are “The Constant Presence” for any University.
Recognizing this fact, the Office of Alumni Relations is committed
to providing excellence
through the development, coordination and presentation of programs
and services offered to its alumni. Our goal is to compliment and
enhance
every aspect of their academic, social and professional experience.
We promise to recognize, value, embrace, and appreciate the overall
diversity and strength that our alumni bring to CSU Dominguez Hills.
