Cal State Dominguez Hills Women's Softball Heads into Local Community
Softball team participates in KTLA Kids Day

CARSON, Calif.- On October 26, 2002, members and coaches of the 2003 Cal State Dominguez Hills softball team participated in the 2002 KTLA Kid's Day. The event, sponsored by the local network, was held at the Los Angeles Coliseum.

Its goal was to expose local community children to different events and specialties. The softball team conducted a one-hour session for any of the children that wanted to participate. They had children from all ages and level abilities. Some of the children had never even picked up a bat before this day.

The CSUDH athletes gave instruction on batting, fielding and throwing to boys and girls alike. The team enjoyed interacting with the eager children, and took pride in teaching them the basic skills.

The student-athletes are now looking forward to next years event.
