The
online Bachelor of Science in Quality Assurance (BSQA) degree
program blends the basic sciences with the technologies, management
principles, quality concepts and statistical tools needed
to prepare professionals for careers in Quality Assurance,
and to enhance the careers of working professionals in the
field seeking career enhancement. Those students more interested
in the technical areas of Quality can pursue a Measurement
Science option.
Topics
covered include lean manufacturing, quality improvement, measurement
science, systems failure analysis, technical documentation,
technical communications, statistical quality control and
inspection, the manufacturing process, electrical metrology,
quality auditing, measurement uncertainty, dimensional metrology,
physical metrology safety and reliability, purchasing and
procurement, and value based quality.
Online/On
Site
The online and on-site BSQA programs are designed primarily
as upper-division transfer programs for students who have
completed the majority of their lower-division general education
courses. Both the online and on-site programs require no on-campus
attendance. Courses are offered throughout the year on a trimester
basis.
