COLLEGE OF NATURAL & BEHAVIORAL SCIENCES NEW LISTING - Sociology:
Assoc./Full Professor. Tenure-track position to
serve as Director of the Urban Community Research Center (UCRC). Successful
candidate will be a senior sociologist with a record of extensive and
productive quantitative research and strong teaching performance in a
university research center environment and who will have a history of
significant accomplishments in acquiring research grants and contracts,
conducting large scale research projects, building and maintaining community
relations, and managing research operations. Duties include teaching
sociological research to graduate and undergraduate students; working with
technical professionals, the Director will lead the continued development of UCRC’s COLLEGE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION & PUBLIC POLICY (NOTE: No new or revised positions in the College for 2005-2006 academic year.) (NOTE: No new or revised positions in the College for 2005-2006 academic year.) COLLEGE OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES REVISED LISTING -
Kinesiology: Full-Time Lecturer. Temporary position. Three-year renewal
appointment possible. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in
athletic training and exercise science; writing self-study and overseeing
JRC-AT accreditation process; coordinating clinical education program for
athletic training students; developing affiliate sites for program and
conducting ACI program; also, serving on various committees and demonstrating
continued professional growth through teaching innovation, research, and
service in professional societies. Qualifications: Master’s degree in
Athletic Training or related field, BOC Certification, Clinical Instructor
Educator (CIE) status, instructor certificates in First Aid/CPR/AED,
involvement in ongoing professional development and knowledge of CAAHEP and
JRC-AT protocols, and experience in didactic and clinical experiences of
athletic training students. Preference for earned doctorate. Contact:
Dr. NEW LISTING - Human
Development: Asst./Assoc./Full Professor. Tenure-track 12-month position
to serve as Chair of Division of Human Development. Primary responsibilities
include program planning, curriculum development and evaluation, and
marketing of programs. Other duties include facilitating recruitment,
admission and retention of students; providing leadership in development and
maintenance of administrative policies and procedures; teaching selected
courses; engaging in research and professional endeavors; securing extramural
funding; serving on variety of committees. Qualifications: Earned
doctorate in health-related discipline; demonstrated expertise and
qualifications to teach courses in at least one of the program areas; online
teaching experience; knowledge of curriculum design and evaluation;
experience in accreditation of programs; demonstrated record of published
research and scholarly activity involving students if possible; demonstrated leadership
and interpersonal skills; fiscal management experience; commitment to

Nursing: Asst./Assoc. Professor. Tenure-track
12-month position. Teach in classroom and online in BSN and MSN programs.
Participate in course and program development, implementation and evaluation,
and make recommendations for change. Make clinical site visits as necessary
to assess and evaluate the implementation of the curriculum and
teaching/learning activities in accord with accreditation and certification
standards and requirements. Develop and maintain scholarly and service
activities. Qualifications: Master’s degree in nursing, earned
doctorate or substantial work toward doctorate in nursing or related field,
and possession of, or eligibility for, RN licensure in UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
Each successful candidate for a tenure-track faculty position will be required to submit official transcripts from the institution awarding the highest degree. For an ABD to be a successful candidate for a tenure-track faculty position, the doctoral degree must be completed and verification of the degree must be submitted to the University before the end of the individual’s first probationary year of appointment. Appointments for tenure-track faculty positions will be effective either in late August 2005 with the beginning of the 2005-2006 academic year, or in late January 2006 with the beginning of the Spring 2006 semester.
