GWE Writing Exam Requirement

All students entering the HUX M.A. program are required to take the CSUDH Graduate Writing Examination (GWE) within their first year of residency in the program (before they complete 9 units). The GWE is the California State University system-wide required English proficiency exam. Students may be exempted from this exam by, for example, their score on exams such as the national Graduate Record Examination (GRE). See the GWE Handbook for more information.
HUX students receive a packet of materials in their second trimester in the program. Below are links to PDF versions of these materials.
