A Special Place

California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) is located in the city of Carson, the only university serving the South Bay region of Los Angeles. It is situated between two active seaports, three busy airports and four major freeways -- the intersection of many crossroads that connect people and enterprises.

CSUDH is a dynamic teaching and learning community dedicated to excellence and committed to educating a student population of unprecedented diversity for meaningful roles in the global community of the 21st century. In fact, CSUDH has been named the second most diverse campus in the nation by US News and World Report for several years in a row. The majority of students are the first in their family to attend college, receive financial aid and may speak English as a second language.

In spite of the obstacles they face on a daily basis, these students come to CSUDH eager to pursue an education. Sixty-one different degree programs nurture the intellectual growth and personal development of these students as they prepare to better their lives and become productive citizens and community leaders.

Every campus has a special place where people and their ideas connect. For CSUDH, the Loker University Sudent Union is that place.
