“I’m encouraged by the faculty here because while they challenge me, I’m also being reminded that I can do whatever I put my mind to." -Graduate student Shaunté Gray With plans of entering medical school, Shaunté came to campus for her master’s in biology as a Minority Biomedical Research Support (MBRS) student. Through MBRS, she works with faculty members currently involved in cell biology research – experience that will certainly pay off on her medical school applications and beyond. “MBRS is unlike any program I’ve ever known. Everyday, I go to the lab, and I’m excited to be working side-by-side with these researchers,” she says.

Loker University Student Union Campaign
Loker Student Union Expansion is expected to begin in Fall 2004. The Loker University Student Union Addition will be located on the north side of the existing union. The project will remodel 56,650 gross square feet and provide an additional 57,450 gross square feet for meeting rooms, lounges, general offices, an expanded bookstore, a new food court, and other retail space.
