Peoples of the South Bay Area Series
OLLI is pleased to continue our Peoples of the South Bay Area Series with
three more population groups; Panamanian, African American (2 sessions),
and Hawaiian. We begin the Fall with Panamanians in the South Bay in
September, followed by African Americans in the development of the City of
Carson and its educational system, and Hawaiians in the South Bay in October.
Each presentation will focus on the achievements and contributions of these
Peoples of the South Bay. We anticipate they will engage us in lively discussion
and factual dialogue that will enhance our knowledge and appreciation for how
the South Bay Area has developed and evolved through the years.
