AEROSOL TRANSMISSIBLE DISEASES (OSX 934) (1.6 CEUs)
This course covers information essential to controlling aerosol transmissible disease risks and complying with this standard. Topics included are exposure control programs, engineering and work practice controls, respirators and training.
The Cal/OSHA Aerosol Transmissible Diseases (ATD) standard was issued on October 22, 2009 by the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration. It will affect workplaces such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, prisons, homeless shelters, clinics, medical offices, drug treatment programs, and laboratories. It will also cover paramedics and other emergency medical service providers.
