The creation of this certificate is in response to the recommendation of the OSHA Education Center Curriculum Committee and the need of Safety Professionals for a clear and defined path towards earning a professional certificate in occupational health and safety, and for whom a professional designation (CSHO) contributes to career advancement and professional recognition. This program consists of nine courses offered for CEU credit and is focused on the responsibilities of a safety technician in the refinery setting as a whole. Public Sector Safety & Health Fundamentals
Certificate Program - Construction

The certificate program in Public Sector Safety & Health Fundamentals supports OSHA’s mission by training public sector employees in occupational safety and health to reduce incident rates for workers in state and local governments. Participants have the opportunity to earn certificates for Construction and General Industry training.

Participants may earn a safety training certificate for Construction after successfully completing a minimum of seven courses, comprised of a minimum of 68 contact hours of training.

Certificate Program - General Industry

The certificate program in Public Sector Safety & Health Fundamentals supports OSHA’s mission by training public sector employees in occupational safety and health to reduce incident rates for workers in state and local governments. Participants have the opportunity to earn certificates for Construction and General Industry training.

Participants may earn a safety training certificate for General Industry after successfully completing a minimum of seven courses, comprised of a minimum of 68 contact hours of training.
