Electronic Submission of Records

Starting in 2017, many employers will be required to electronically submit the summary of injuries and illnesses to OSHA.

Severe Injury Reporting

Employers must report any worker fatality within 8 hours and any amputation, loss of an eye, or hospitalization of a worker within 24 hours.

The California State University, Dominguez Hills OSHA Training Institute Education Center offers such classes as the 10 and 30 hour construction and general industry courses, OSHA 510 and 511, and OSHA 500 and 501. We also offer classes in maritime industry as well as petroleum industry safety. Classes are convenient for people living and/or working in the Los Angeles, Orange County, and the Riverside and San Bernardino areas.

CSU Dominguez Hills is the only California State University to be awarded a Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Training Institute Education Center (OSHA OTIEC). We are proud to support OSHA’s mission of educating employers and workers on how to avoid workplace injuries and maintain a safe work environment.
