Mandatory Freshmen Advising (MFA)
The Mandatory Freshmen Advising workshop is a university-wide program designed for all first and second semester freshmen. The mission of the MFA workshops is to assist freshmen students to successfully transition and navigate through the university system in order to succeed academically and graduate from CSUDH.
The workshops will include advisement on remediation policy, accurate course selection and registration, graduation requirements, and helpful online tools such as their Degree Progress Reports. Workshops will also include information about university policies and procedures as well as referrals for important campus resources.
In order to have the MFA ADVISING hold removed and to register for courses, students must fulfill the MFA requirement. One-time attendance at this workshop is required for all freshmen students.
Information regarding MFA workshops is emailed to freshmen students, so it is extremely important that students check Toromail regularly.
Again, please note that you will not be able to register for courses until you fulfill the MFA requirement.
Should you have any questions, please visit the UAC in Welch Hall A-220 or email uac@csudh.edu or call 310-243-3538.
