Academic Master Plan
Documentation
The Academic Master Plan (AMP) Council was convened in May 2004 and charged with the overall responsibility for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Academic Master Plan for California State University, Dominguez Hills. The purpose of the AMP is to establish goals, objectives, and strategic priorities for the Division of Academic Affairs for the years 2006-2010. To understand the AMP, one must consider its role within the University Strategic Plan which sets the course for the University. The AMP was designed to establish the important initiatives and priorities for all units in Academic Affairs and to place them in the context of the mission, core values, and vision of the campus as a whole as embodied in the University Strategic Plan.
In the Fall 2003 the campus initiated a partnership between the Academic Senate and Academic Affairs to sponsor the Academic Resources Development Study (ARDS). ARDS was charged to conduct three interrelated projects: the Faculty Resources Project and theAcademic Program Evolution Project and New Program Development Project. These projects were designed to investigate faculty transition, to determine the viability of current programs, and to generate information needed for academic program development.
