Q.   What about printing on special paper?
A.  The department carries a wide assortment of papers in stock, and will order special, high-end paper upon request.

Q.   Does UPS have the capability to create the originals from our specs?
A.  Original copy for duplication may be obtained from the Publications Department, or from other graphics suppliers.  Originals may be submitted to Offset Duplication or Fast Copy as hard copy, or through the campus email.  The address is Repro.csudh.edu.

Q.   What is the turnaround in Offset Duplication?
A.  Due to the more intensive technical procedures required in Offset Duplication, in comparison to the Fast Copy, the turnaround is between one and four working days, depending on the complexity and size of the job.

Q.   Can you print letterhead and envelopes?
A.  Offset prints large quantities of letterhead and envelopes.

Q.   Can you do folding?
A.  Yes, we offer that service.

Q.   What size paper can your copier machines handle?
A.  The machines can handle paper up to 11"x17".

Q.   Can the copier machine handle card stock?
A.  Yes.

Q.   How many copies of a single work order can be run in Fast Copy?
A.  So as not to tie the machines up with a single order, we have established a limit of 1,000 copies per page.  Larger orders can be run on our offset presses.

Q.   What is the cost per page?
A.   Duplicating on standard 20lb. white, 81/2 x 11 paper costs $0.05 for the first side, and $0.45 for the second side.  Duplicating on colored paper, heavier stocks and larger sizes cost slightly more.  A Printing Price Guide to UPS is available in the front office at B-105, or call and we will send you a copy through the University mail.

Q.   What is the turnaround time for Fast Copy?
A.  Fast Copy - Duplicating orders can be expected within 24 hours in the case of small to medium sized jobs.  Larger jobs can be expected to take from two to three working days.

Q.   Does Fast Copy have stapling and folding capabilities?
A.  Yes.

Q.   Does Fast Copy have binding capabilities?
A.  Fast Copy can do tape binding and "comb" binding.  Also, saddling stitching of booklets in the standard 5-1/2"x8-1/2" and 8-1/2"x11" formats.
