Human Resources Management -
Furlough Plan (Support Staff & MPP)

MPP employees, confidential staff, and Units 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, and 9 have agreed to implementation of a series of unpaid furlough days as a means of dealing with the current budget situation.

Full-time employees will take 24 furlough days between August 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. All of these days have been designated by the administration, and only in certain circumstances will employees that are required to provide essential services be allowed to work.  In this case, the employee will take an alternate furlough day(s).

Listed below are the approved university-designated required furlough days.  On these days, employees in the groups designated above will observe a non-paid furlough day unless it is determined that they are needed to provide essential services.
