The Complex has the
potential of including the following major components:

New
Velodrome
-
A new Olympic standard velodrome facility that would be
home to U.S. Cycling and could accommodate major cycling events
and local club use

No permanent seating would be provided, however up to 5,000
temporary seats could be installed for a small number of major
cycling tournaments or Olympic trials

Jogging
Trail/Par Course Fitness Facility

Sports
Medicine/Therapy Center
-
A state-of-the-art wellness center of approximately 15,000
sq. ft. for treatment/therapy of sports-related injuries as well
as physical fitness, sports medicine, rehabilitation programs
which might tie into new University academic curricula.

Toro Dome Gymnasium
-
In conjunction with the University, ALAS would upgrade the
Toro Dome (gymnasium) floor and facilities to create additional
sports opportunities.

A premier academy for young men and women to learn from NBA
past and present stars.

A possible permanent training facility for the L.A.
Clippers.

Home to the NBA summer league with NBA veterans, rookies
and draft choices all in pick-up games.

Volleyball Academy involving camps and clinics for Southern
California’s top volleyball athletes.

Sports Academy

The Complex would also allow for substantial upgrades to
existing athletic facilities on the CSUDH campus, which together
with USSF Academy facilities, tennis, and track and field
facilities may be used for various youth athletic training camps,
clinics and competitions (e.g., soccer, tennis, basketball,
volleyball, track and field, cycling) as well as enhancing the
athletic programs and facilities for CSUDH students

Parking
-
Approximately 2,500 new paved parking spaces will be
created supplemented by about 4,000 spaces already available on
site

Additional turf parking of up to 1,000 spaces for overflow
parking needs
