Offered
The staff of the Office of Alumni Relations is the main point of contact
and coordination for all alumni related issues. We serve as the University
liaison to the CSUDH Alumni Association, Inc. Additionally, we provide
alumni event and program coordination services, general support, direction,
suggestions and advice to the board of directors, alumni, current
students, university faculty and staff and the surrounding community.
The office offers the following services: •
Assistance with the design, management, supervision and implementation
of events/programs for the Alumni Association, affinity groups,
and campus groups. Work with various groups who have an interest
in sponsoring University related alumni events both on an off campus
• Update and maintain accurate information of a 44,000+ CSUDH
alumni database
• Handle and respond to all feedback concerning alumni issues
• Maintain the master calendar for alumni events
• Recruit, train and supervise alumni and student volunteers
in all aspects of alumni involvement with the University
• Provide support for meetings of chapter/affinity groups
• Produce and distribute correspondence to advance University
and Alumni interests
• Generate all required paperwork for groups sponsoring events/programs
held on campus. These requests include, but are not limited to the
scheduling of facilities and facilities management, parking, food
services, alumni labels and publications
• Schedule meetings, receptions and special alumni events
• Coordinate and maintain the Alumni Association new, renewal
and lifetime membership program
• Recommend ways in which alumni may be utilized to support
and enhance various on and off campus programs sponsored by University
entities
• Provide alumni labels for approved mailings
• Assist with coordination of large approved alumni mailings
• Review and negotiate affinity benefits and discount programs
• Alumni Friend Finder program
• Ensure alumni representation at programs and events both
on and off campus
