CARSON, Calif.--(November 2, 2004)--The
pairings for the 2004 California Collegiate Athletic Association
(CCAA) Men's and Women's Soccer Championships, hosted by Cal State
Dominguez Hills Nov. 5-7, have been announced by the league office
Tuesday morning.

Cal State Dominguez Hills enters the men's
tournament as the No. 1 seed as the South Division winner with a
12-0-2 league record. Cal State Bakersfield is No. 2 (10-2-2), UC
San Diego (8-4-2) is No. 3 and Sonoma State (8-5-1), the CCAA
North Division winner, comes in as the No. 4 seed.
On the women's side, UC San Diego (10-3-1)
locked up the No. 1 seed with a 4-0 victory Monday night against
Cal State San Bernardino. Chico State (9-2-3), the CCAA North
Division winner, is the No. 2 seed. Cal Poly Pomona (8-2-4) and
host Cal State Dominguez Hills (8-3-3) enter as the Nos. 3 & 4
seeds respectively.
The tournament format calls for the No. 1 seed
to play the No. 4 seed, and the No. 2 seed playing against the No.
3 seed. Each semifinal winner will advance to the CCAA
Championship Game on Sunday.
