Graham took a pass from Kevin Sosa and beat
Sonoma goalie Clark Rupp to give the Toros a 3-2 lead with 20
minutes to play. Graham's tally broke a brief 2-2 deadlock that
Sonoma's Brian Coyne forged with his 9th goal of the season three
minutes earlier.
Ryan Taylor gave CSUDH an insurmountable lead
with the final goal of the contest at 84:14. Taylor took a Kei
Kamara throw-in over the Seawolf defense and beat Rupp with a
touch shot.
Sonoma struck first in the 5th minute on
freshman Andrew Bailey's 13th goal of the year. CSUDH responded
with goals from All-CCAA First Team selections Kei Kamara (12:14)
and Francisco Corona (15:30).
With the win, 10th ranked Cal State Dominguez
Hills extended its unbeaten streak to 18 games in improving to
17-2-2 on the season. The Toros, all but assured of its fifth
straight NCAA playoff appearance, will play Cal State Bakersfield
for the CCAA Championship on Sunday at 2 p.m. CSUDH will try and
win its fifth league crown in the last six years, while
Bakersfield goes for its first CCAA title since 1997.
