Carson, CA -- On the heels of the Cal State Dominguez Hills men’s soccer team capturing the NCAA Far West Region Championship, CSUDH has announced a partnership with seasoned broadcasting veteran Craig Dunkin to web cast five men’s soccer contests. These matches will be carried live on www.toroslive.com, beginning Tuesday, September 5, as the men’s team hosts Grand Canyon for its home opener at 7:00 p.m. in Toro Stadium.

“I’ve always been a huge soccer fan and this opportunity allows me to combine two of my greatest interests -- broadcasting and soccer,” begins Dunkin. “The fact that it’s with a quality program like the Toros makes it that much better.”

Craig DuncanDunkin, who web casted selected CSUDH baseball games last season for the regular season champion Toros, is a veteran of UCLA baseball and soccer broadcasts, Occidental College football and basketball broadcasts, and minor league baseball broadcasts, and has nearly a decade of experience in southern California also having dabbled in polo and volleyball. In addition, the avid soccer fan traveled to Germany for this year’s World Cup and to Portugal for Euro ‘04, and attended the World Cup Final in 1994, listing ManU as his favorite team.

“Following the web casting success we’ve had during basketball season over the past few years, we’re thrilled to be able to broadcast what is arguably some of the best college soccer in the nation,” says CSUDH Sports Information Director Mel Miranda. “Having heard Craig at our baseball games last year and knowing soccer is another passion of his, securing someone of his talent and experience will be great for CSUDH soccer.”

A practicing lawyer the past 15 years, Dunkin earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA in 1987, and his law degree from Loyola Law School three years later. Craig, wife Laurie and sons Brett and J.D. reside in La Crescenta. Here is the full 2006 schedule of men’s soccer web casts:
