Relocating from the “Big Apple” in 1983, Tim is the other familiar and friendly face you’ll find in the CSUDH Athletic Training Room. In his role, Tim designs and implements strength and conditioning programs including physical therapy, pre- and post-injury rehabilitation, pre- and post-season conditioning, and disseminates research based information in the field of exercise science. A 1997 CSUDH graduate who earned degrees in PE and AT with honors, Tim received his Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification that same year, and achieved his Board of Certification in Athletic Training in 2001. He also taught PE at CAMS for five years and teaches part-time for CSUDH in the Kinesiology Department. A lover of the outdoors, Tim enjoys cycling, surfing, hiking and snowboarding, and has completed numerous triathlons, biathlons and marathons. The 42-year-old McGuire, born on October 16, lives with his wife of 17 years in Manhattan Beach. |
