IDLE WOMEN ENJOY A WEEK'S REST
The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's cross-country squad will have the upcoming weekend off after being on the road last weekend at the Stanford Invitational. The Toros will return to action on October 13 when they compete in the UC San Diego Triton Invitational at the UCSD campus.

HEAD COACH DEANN SCHLOBOHM
Coach Schlobohm begins her fifth season as head coach of the CS Dominguez Hills Cross Country team. Last season, the Toros finished seventh in the CCAA and took an eleventh place finish at the NCAA Division II Regional Championships. Scholbohm started the Toros Cross Country program from scratch in 1997.

TOROS AT STANFORD
The Toros were among 25 schools and 200 runners to compete at the Stanford Invitational this past weekend held at the Stanford campus in Palo Alto, CA. Competition at the meet included top Division I programs in Stanford, Arkansas, UC Irvine and BYU. The Toros took a 22nd place finish and had one runner, senior Cambria D' Amico (N. Torrance HS) finish in the top 100. The course, 6,000 meters, was the longest course that the Toros have competed on all season. The meet was won by the host Cardinal who had five runners finish in the top ten.

D'AMICO STANDS STRONG AT STANFORD INVITATIONAL
Senior Cambria D'Amico continued her streak for being the first Toro to cross the finish line. The Torrance native clocked a time of 23:15 on the 6,000 meter course, good enough for a 69th place finish. This is the fifth straight time that D'Amico has been the top Toros finisher.

TOROS TAKE TO LONGEST COURSE OF SEASON
The Toros took to the longest course of the season this past weekend. Six Toro runners tested the 6,000 meter course in Palo Alto. Cambria D'Amico finished in the top 100 to lead CSUDH. Sophomore Aracne Hernandez (Bellflower HS) finished with a time of 24:25, junior Victoria Flores (Montebello HS) clocked in at 24:38 and junior Wendy Vallejo (John Marshall HS) stopped watches at 24:57. Freshmen Yosie Castillo (Bellflower HS) and Pia Folsing (Bornholm HS), rounded out the pack with times of 25:15 and 25:33 respectively.
