Cal State Dominguez Hills Director of Athletics
Ron Prettyman announced that Jeff Poltorak has been named
Associate Athletic Director for the Carson campus. Poltorak, a
1993 graduate of San Diego State University, has been serving as
the Toros Interim Associate Athletic Director since September
2000.
The Southern California native came to CSUDH
from Alliant Foodservice where he served as the Los Angeles
Territory Manager. He previously was a Development Representative
at Coca-Cola from 1997-99.
At Cal State Dominguez Hills, Poltorak's
primary responsibilities will be the development and management of
the Toros fundraising efforts for scholarships and programmatic
needs. He will also be responsible for all marketing and
promotions of CSUDH Athletics.
"We are delighted to have someone
with Jeff's experience as a member of our team," states
Prettyman. "Jeff brings a unique combination of educational
and corporate experience to the development arm of our department.
We are all eager to see his talents in action as he interacts in
the surrounding community both on and off campus. Jeff is a very
'hands on' type of administrator that is willing to roll up his
sleeves and get things done. He will fit nicely in our department
and on our administrative team."
Poltorak began his career in collegiate
athletics in promotions at San Diego State from 1991-93. He then
moved on to New Mexico State where he worked as a fundraiser from
1993-94. At NMSU, Polotorak directed the Inaugural Crimson &
White Auction and was directly involved in the daily Aggie public
relations efforts.
He then moved to Cal State Fullerton where he
served as the Marketing and Promotions Director from 1994-96. At
CSUF, he directed all athletic department advertising campaigns
and public relations efforts. He was also responsible for
development and maintenance of sponsor relationships. |
