Toros Baseball Win Exhibition over Tigers Rookies 13-3

The Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team pounded out 15 hits en route to a 13-3 rout over the Detroit Tigers Rookie Team today at Toro Field.

The Toros erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning which fueled the win. Five Detroit errors aided CSUDH. Shortstop Eric Pringle had two hits, an RBI single and triple, while third baseman Damien Lopez went 2-3 on the day with two walks.

Chris Ingstad pitched the first three scorless innings, striking out three to earn the exhibition win. In all, the Toros used five pitchers in the game.

CSUDH will host their annual alumni game tomorrow at Toro Field. The Home Run Derby is set for 11:00 am and the first pitch is set for 1:00 pm.
