San Francisco San Francisco State topped
Cal State Dominguez Hills, 67-50, in CCAA women's basketball
action at the Swamp Friday night.
SFSU led the contest wire-to-wire and held a
double-digit advantage for most of the evening. The Gators got a
big game from Kelley Kruger. The senior point guard tied her
season-high with 22 points and added six assists and six steals.
Kruger earned many of her points at the free throw line as she
went 12-for-15 from the charity stripe.
Cal State Dominguez Hills was led by Tracee
Lewis who scored 19 points on 7-for-18 shooting. Kendra Tease
chipped in with 10 points for the Toros.
The Gators outmuscled the Toros all night,
outrebounding the Toros 48-30. Audra-jo Johnson recorded her first
career double-double scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Samantha Trone dropped 11 points and added eight rebounds for the
Gators.
Cal State Dominguez Hills drops to 6-17 overall
and 4-15 in the conference. With the win, The Gators improve to
10-14 overall and 7-12 in the CCAA.
CSUDH plays at Sonoma State Saturday night,
Feb. 23.
