Men's and Women's Soccer Announces 2002 Season Schedule
June 19, 2002

Men's Schedule          Women's Schedule

The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's and women's soccer programs announced its upcoming 2002 season schedule which will feature a total of 22 home games at Toro Field.

The No. 2-ranked men's program, coming off a 2001 NCAA II National Runner-up finish, will be attempting to win their fourth consecutive California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) title. The season starts with a five-game homestand beginning with a rematch of sorts against Alliant University on August 29. Alliant brought an end last year to the Toros nation-best 23-game winning streak and 32-game unbeaten streak dating back to the 2000 season.

CSUDH will kick off the 2002 CCAA schedule on September 12 hosting Cal State Stanislaus. The Toros will take a short break from CCAA play from October 5-7 when they travel to the Great Northwest to play Seattle Pacific University and Western Washington University. The team will return home for a pair of CCAA games against Sonoma State and San Francisco State on October 11 & 13 before playing four of their final five league games on the road.

On the women's side, the No. 18-ranked Toros open up its season in Costa Mesa at Vanguard University on August 29 before returning home to start a four-game homestand. The homestand will feature games against Central Washington University and No. 11-ranked Barry University before the Toros take on Cal State Stanislaus in their conference opener on September 12.

Cal State Dominguez Hills will host two-time defending NCAA II National Champion UC San Diego in a CCAA match-up on September 29 prior to taking a break from CCAA play to travel to Washington to play against Seattle Pacific University and Western Washington. CSUDH returns home on October 11 & 13 to play Sonoma State and San Francisco State. The Toros will close out the season schedule with four of its final five games on the road.
