TURLOCK Cal State Dominguez Hills scored
three times in the second half --twice wth a one-man advantage, as
the visiting Toros defeated the CSU Stanislaus Warriors, 5-0,
Saturday. Victor Guerrero and Gabriel Valencia scored first half
goals for the Toros as they improve to 14-3-1 overall and 11-1 in
the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
With the Warriors striking to make things even
in the second half, Dominguez Hills scored its third goal, by
Eddie Gonzales-Pinto, 10 minutes into the second half for a 3-0
advantage.
Things turned for the worse for Stanisalus when
Tony Amaral was called for a red card and was ejected. Dominguez
Hills never stopped and tagged on two more scores in the final 15
mintues of the match. Michael Jiminez and Eduardo Serrano scored
the final two goals for CSUDH.
Cal State Stanislaus (5-12, 3-9 CCAA)
goalkeeper Matthew Buckman had nine saves as the Toros out-shot
the Warriors 23-3.
The Toros have a huge match coming up
Wednesday, Oct. 30, when the team hosts Cal State Bakersfield.
