SAN BERNARDINO -- Keesha Aldridge scored on a layup with 10 seconds left in the game Saturday night to lift Cal State Dominguez Hills to a 44-43 California Collegiate Athletic Association victory over host Cal State San Bernardino before 275 fans in Coussoulis Arena.

Aldridge, a two-sport star who was a key player on the Toros' volleyball team last fall, helped the Toros overcome a nine-point deficit in the final 6:45 of the game. Trailing 43-42, freshman point guard Tameka Blue drove the lane and found Aldridge alone under the basket for an uncontested layup.

The Coyotes called timeout with seven seconds remaining and moved the ball upcourt but an open 20 foot jumper by Trisha Raniewicz caromed off the front of the rim at the buzzer. Raniewicz earlier scored on a layup for a 43-40 lead with 1:21 left.

The loss ended a seven-game Coyotes' win streak and a 10-game home winning streak that dated back to February of 2002.

Aldridge shared high-point honors with Teresa Cooper. Nakeisha Perkins had nine rebounds, seven on the defensive side for the Toros. Blue, averaging 14 points a game coming in, had just six points but dished off eight assists.

The Toros are now 2-2 in the CCAA and 4-4 overall. With the loss CSUSB drops to 7-2, 3-1 in league play.

Kamesha Bell led the Coyotes with 15 points and also collected eight rebounds. Monique Clemmons had 14 points, 12 in the first half as the Coyotes forged a 23-19 lead.

Hannah Low had a game-high 12 rebounds for the Coyotes, 10 on the defensive end.

CSUDH shot just 28 percent for the game and the Coyotes 37 percent and were outrebounded 43-24, but hung around long enough to pull off the victory.
