TURLOCK — Mesut Ademoglu led the team in scoring for the second straight night and Bernard McIntosh scored 17 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as the CSU Stanislaus men’s basketball team beat Cal State Dominguez Hills, 76-63, Saturday night.

Ademoglu, making his second start of his career in as many nights, netted 18 points and had seven rebounds to lead a balanced Warrior offensive attack. The effort was especially key as leading scorer Jeff Davenport was held to a career-low two points on 1 of 6 shooting.

Ira Taylor scored 14 points with five assists, Jamal O’Quinn had 13 points and Skyler Wilson added 10 as five Warriors were in double digits in scoring.

The Warriors, now 11-6 overall and 6-4 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, went into the break holding a 34-23 advantage. O’Quinn and Wilson each had eight of their points in the first 20 minutes.

Cal State Dominguez Hills charged back and pulled within one, at 43-42, with 14 minutes to play when Abel Velarde made the front-end of an one-and-one at the foul line. During a 15-4 CSUDH run, Andre Brown scored seven of his team-leading 20 points.

Brown was able to pull his team within one again three minutes later with a free throw, but that was as close as Dominguez Hills would get the rest of the way.

O’Quinn made two free throws with 1:31 to play to cap-off a 19-9 Warrior run to put the game away.

Brown also had 14 rebounds while Velarde finished with 10 points to pace the Toros (4-11, 2-8 CCAA).

The Toros continue on the road next weekend as they travel to UC Davis Friday and Chico State Saturday.
