Baseball Breaks into Collegiate Baseball Top-25

CARSON, Calif.--The Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team broke into the NCAA Division II Top-25 today for the first time since the 1996 season. The Toros are ranked No. 22 in today's Collegiate Baseball national poll.

The Toros moved up from its #30 position last week and into the top-25 for the first time since the '96 campaign when the Toros finished second in the California Collegiate Athletic Association with a 20-12 mark and 33-22 overall.

The Toros ascent nationally was aided by knocking off #14 Cal State San Bernardino twice in three games last week. CSUDH split a twinbill in San Bernardino on Friday (3-4, 6-5) then won in dramatic fashion in 12 innings on Saturday, 8-7. The Toros and CSUSB will conclude its four-game series tomorrow in Carson at 2 PM.
