Complete Box Score

(Rohnert Park) Cal State Dominguez Hills freshman Tameka Blue had 21 points on 9-of-21 shooting to lead the Toros (7-14, 6-11 CCAA) to an upset win over Sonoma State, 60-52 on Friday night at Seawolf Gym.

The Seawolves (13-9, 8-9 CCAA) never quite found their stroke, shooting just 33% in the second half to drop their fourth game in their last five outings.

Although SSU outshot the Toros in the first half, the teams went into the break tied at 23. The Seawolves put on a push in the early parts of the second half, stretching their lead to 36-28 with 15:00 to go. From the 15:00 mark, the Toros went on a 13-0 tear that put SSU in a hole they could not recover from.

Tara Whiteside led Sonoma State with 21 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the year.

Cal State Dominguez Hills returns to action tomorrow night when they continue their northern swing at San Francisco State. The Seawolves host Cal State L.A.
