Francisco State used a huge second half to beat Cal State
Dominguez Hills, 87-67. The Gators sweep the series as they beat
the Toros, 75-62, in Carson on Jan. 17.
In the first half, both teams had leads of at
least seven points. The half ended with the Gators up 36-34.
In the second half, the Toros opened with five
straight points to take a 39-36 lead after 48 seconds. A
three-pointer by Dante Carey tied the game at 39-39 at the 18:50
mark. Over the next 11 minutes, SFSU outscored the Toros, 31-6 to
put the game out of reach.
For San Francisco State (10-13, 8-10 CCAA),
Mike Dyer had 16 points and was six-of-six from the free throw
line, Steven Hankle had 14 points and two steals and Taylor Bro
had 14 points and 11 rebounds.
For Cal State Dominguez Hills (6-17, 4-14
CCAA), Michael Crawford had 17 points and Justin Goree scored 10
points.
Cal State Dominguez Hills is back at home next
weekend with games Friday against Cal State Stanislaus, and
Saturday with Cal State Bakersfield.
