BLUE GIVES PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR
Freshman guard Tameka Blue (Watsonville, CA) gave a stellar
performance in the Toros upset win over Cal State Stanislaus. Blue

by Chandra Trower in the 1982-1983 season.
PERKINS CLOSES OUT HER CAREER
Senior Nakeisha Perkins (Tarzana, CA) will close out her
four-year career in a Toro jersey this Saturday night in the
Torodome. Over a span of four seasons, Perkins has seen action in

down 722 rebounds. Her 7.1 rebounds per game etches her name into
the Toro record books. She is currently eighth all-time in
rebounding.
BEST FRESHMEN IN CSUDH HISTORY?
Blue doesn't need to continue the hot scoring streak that she is
on. She is already the top scoring freshman in CSUDH history. Blue
is averaging 14.9 ppg, which is the highest all-time freshmen
scoring average. She also scored 33 points in a game, which is one
of the highest single-game scoring by a freshman.

Cal State Dominguez Hills is a team of thieves. The Toros have
taken it away 264 times this season, compared to their opponents
who have tallied 187 steals on the season. Octavia Askew (Van
Nuys, CA) is leading the way with 59, while Blue is behind right
behind her with 58. CSUDH is averaging 11 steals per game. In
fact, every Toro on the roster, with the except of two, has
tallied at least one steal on the season.
BLUE KNOWS HOW TO DISH IT OUT
Tameka Blue knows how to dish it out. She has reached the century
mark in assists and is leading the team with 106 assists, while
averaging 4.7 dishes per game. Blue is currently fifth in the CCAA
statistics in assists.
HEAD COACH VAN GIRARD

Year five times, including three in a row (1993-1996). Girard has
coached one All-American, two All-West Region players, three CCAA
MVP's and 29 all-conference players. His first win at the
