Men's and Women's Soccer Release 2003 Schedules
Men gunning for fifth-consecutive CCAA title; women seeking third-consecutive Central Division crown

CARSON, Calif.--The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's and women's soccer teams will inaugurate its new 3,000 seat soccer stadium at the end of this month to kick off the 2003 season.

The men's team, coming off its fourth-consecutive California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) conference title and its third-consecutive NCAA postseason appearance, will begin defense of its crown on August 30 hosting Seattle Pacific in the FarWest Classic.

The Toros, who finished 18-4-1 in 2002, will play host to Western Washington (Sept. 3) and Vanguard University (Sept. 6) prior to starting the tough CCAA schedule on the road at Cal State Stanislaus on September 10. CSUDH will open the CCAA home schedule on September 13 against rival Cal State Bakersfield.

The CSUDH men will also host non-conference teams Seattle University (Oct. 3) and Humboldt State (Oct. 5). The squad will close out the regular season on November 1 at home against Cal State L.A.

The women's team, winners of the 2002 Central Division, will begin its schedule on August 29 hosting Concordia University (CA). The first game in a four-game homestand to start the season. Seattle Pacific (Sept. 1), Western Washington (Sept. 3) and Vanguard University (Sept. 6) round out the opening homestand.

The CSUDH women begins their CCAA schedule on the road at Cal State Stanislaus on September 10 before returning home to take on Central Division rival Cal State Bakersfield on September 13.

Non-conference foe Humboldt State visits Carson on October 5. The Toros will close out the 2003 schedule with four of its five final games at home, including the season finale on November 1 against Cal State L.A.

The Toros new facility was completed as part of the Home Depot Center project, which opened this past summer. Toro Stadium is a lighted venue and will host 11 evening soccer events this season.
