PHOENIX, Ariz.--Michelle Sena tallied her
second game-winning goal in as many matches while leading Cal
State Dominguez Hills to their seventh straight win Friday night
in Phoenix, AZ over Grand Canyon, 4-0.
CSUDH is now 9-1-0 overall and 6-0-0 in CCAA
play.
In the first half, Sena found a loose ball in
the front of the net, collected and sent her shot past the
goalkeeper for the 1-0 lead.
CSUDH scored three unanswered goals in the
second half to cruise to the California Collegiate Athletic
Association win. Chantel Eastwood took a crossing pass and
one-timed her shot to the far post making it 2-0.
Leslie Taylor then scored her first goal of the
year when Nikki Szlak crossed a pass from the right side finding
the feet of Taylor who redirected her shot to the far post.
Laci Gruner closed out the scoring off a corner
kick collecting a rebound in the mouth of the goal and tapping her
shot home.
The Toros are back in CCAA action this Sunday
at UC San Diego. First kick is set for 4:30 p.m.
