September 26, 2003

PHOENIX, Ariz.--Michelle Sena tallied her second game-winning goal in as many matches while leading Cal State Dominguez Hills to their seventh straight win Friday night in Phoenix, AZ over Grand Canyon, 4-0.

CSUDH is now 9-1-0 overall and 6-0-0 in CCAA play.

In the first half, Sena found a loose ball in the front of the net, collected and sent her shot past the goalkeeper for the 1-0 lead.

CSUDH scored three unanswered goals in the second half to cruise to the California Collegiate Athletic Association win. Chantel Eastwood took a crossing pass and one-timed her shot to the far post making it 2-0.

Leslie Taylor then scored her first goal of the year when Nikki Szlak crossed a pass from the right side finding the feet of Taylor who redirected her shot to the far post.

Laci Gruner closed out the scoring off a corner kick collecting a rebound in the mouth of the goal and tapping her shot home.

The Toros are back in CCAA action this Sunday at UC San Diego. First kick is set for 4:30 p.m.
