Carson, CA -- Cal State Dominguez Hills juniors
Jenny Buncio (Carson, CA/West Torrance) and Alejandra Contreras
(El Monte, CA/Mt. SAC) placed amongst the top ten at this
morning's Cal Poly Pomona Invitational, leading the Toros to an
overall third-place finish at the meet
Buncio, a Carson native, finished fourth in the
first 6K race of the cross country season, crossing the finish
line in a time of 22:49.3. Contreras, an El Monte native, placed
ninth in a time of 23:18.0 in helping the Toros to a third-place
finish, ahead of CCAA counterparts Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State San
Bernardino and Cal State L.A.
