Corona Selected as Brine/CCAA Men's Soccer Player of the Week

Cal State Dominguez Hills forward Francisco Corona has been named the Brine California Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week of September 22-28.

Corona, a sophomore from Compton, scored 4 goals in three matches to lead the 2nd-ranked Toros to a 2-1 record last week.

He opened the week by scoring the tying goal in CSUDH’s 3-2 come-from-behind win over Cal Poly Pomona. The Toros were down 2-0 with 13 minutes remaining in the match. Four days later, Corona scored a goal in a 4-0 win at Grand Canyon. He finished the week by scoring both goals in a 3-2 loss at UC San Diego.

Corona leads the Toros with 9 goals on the season.
