Complete Box Score

CARSON, Calif.--Kim Halloran's goal in the 38th minute was all Humboldt State would need as they held on for a 1-0 shutout victory over the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team Sunday afternoon at Toro Field. The loss brings to an end the Toros eight-game win streak dating back to September 3.

CSUDH, ranked No. 8 in the last NSCAA/adidas national poll, drops to 10-2-0 while Humboldt State elevates to 8-3-0.

The game was scoreless until 38:07 when HSU's Jenna Hunter sent a pass inside the box where Halloran collected, and drilled her shot to the upper far post.

The Toros had a chance to tie the game in the 66th minute, but Nikki Szlak's (Long Beach/Los Alamitos HS) shot went off the post.

Cal State Dominguez Hills, who outshot Humboldt 21-11 in the game, could not finish their chances today with three shots going off the post and others sailing either wide or high off the crossbar.
