ROHNERT PARK, Calif.--The Cal State Dominguez
Hills women's soccer team suffered its first California Collegiate
Athletic Association blemish with a 0-0 double-overtime tie Friday
at Sonoma State University.
The Toros, ranked No. 17 in the NSCAA/adidas
poll this week, are now 10-2-1 and 7-0-1 in league play. Sonoma
State is now 4-7-1 and 2-4-2 in CCAA action.
CSUDH outshot Sonoma, 15-6, but was unable to
find the back of the net. Defender Erin Fieger (Manhattan
Beach/Mira Costa HS) launched a team-high five shots but was
unable to get any of her attempts past Seawolf keeper Kellie
Campbell.
Alba Garcia (Chino/Don Lugo HS), who only had
to make one save on the day, registered her third shutout of the
year in 110 minutes of play.
The Toros return to CCAA action on Sunday at
San Francisco State. First kick is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
