Contreras Leads CSUDH Cross Country at UNLV Invitational
Contreras and Jenny Buncio post top five finishes to lead Toros to runner-up

Las Vegas, NV -- Juniors Alejandra Contreras (El Monte, CA/Mt. SAC) and Jenny Buncio (Carson, CA/West Torrance HS) posted respective third- and fourth-place finishes at this morning's UNLV Invitational 5k race, leading CSUDH to an overall runner-up finish in Las Vegas.

Contreras, an El Monte native, crossed the line in a season-best time of 19:05.92, while Carson native Buncio followed her teammate in 19:17.93. Isabel Espinoza (Huntington Park, CA/East L.A. College) and Jacqueline Ramirez (Huntington Beach, CA/Mt. SAC) added respective times of 20;15.52 and 20:17.25 in finishing 12th and 13th to help the Toros place second in the meet.
