SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--Sophomore Zipporah Chase poured in a career-high 28 points and completed the double-double with a game-high 17 boards, but it wasn't enough as San Francisco State pulled out a 69-62 victory in California Collegiate Athletic Association Friday night.

The loss is the third in a row for the Toros who now drop to 6-4 overall and 2-3 in league play. San Francisco State is now 5-5 and 1-4.

The Toros held a 21-18 advantage with just over six points remaining in the first half. However, used a 17-5 run to close out the half and take a 35-26 lead into the break.

CSUDH never got closer than six points in the second half as the Gators built leads as much as 17 points twice. Chase cut it to 64-58 with 1:50 remaining on an offensive rebound and put back. However, the Toros went 0-5 in their next five possessions and SFSU converted their free throws to earn the win at home.

Chase finished 10-15 from the field and 8-10 from the free throw line for 28 points. She also grabbed 17 boards in the losing cause. No other CSUDH player was in double-figures offensively.

For San Francisco State, Chrissy Ridenour poured in a team-best 23 points while Bianca Rayford pulled down a team-high nine boards off the bench.

The Toros will try to snap its three-game slide tomorrow night travelling to Sonoma State. First tip is set for 5:30 p.m.
