Julie Sandoval Joins NCAA Division II Championships Eligibility Project Team

Cal State Dominguez Hills Associate Athletics Director Julie Sandoval has been selected as a member of the NCAA Division II Championships Eligibility Project Team.

Carson, CA -- Cal State Dominguez Hills Associate Athletics Director Julie Sandoval has been selected as a member of the NCAA Division II Championships Eligibility Project Team, it was announced by Sharon K. Cessna, Director of Championships for the NCAA.

The team, geared towards studying the issues surrounding the criteria for selection of participants for the NCAA Championships, holds its first meeting of the year from January 25-26 in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Comments Cessna, "We are pleased that (Julie Sandoval was) able to accept the appointment and look forward to working with (her)."

Sandoval, a nine-year member of the Toros Athletics Staff, additionally serves as Chair of NCAA Division II Volleyball, an appointment which will end this August.

"I'm looking forward to being a part of group that has the opportunity to shape policy for Division II championships," says Sandoval. "My experience as part of the NCAA Division II National Women's volleyball committee gives me some insights I hope to share with this project team."
