for 15th place as day two of the CCAA > Championships came to a
close this afternoon at the Diablo Grande Golf > Course,
hostedy by Chico State. As a team, the Toros shot an aggregate >
938 over the two-day tournament, ending their season in 8th place
among > the 8-team field.
> Cal State Bakersfield won both the team and individual
championships as > day-one leader D.J. Fernando led from start
to finish, shooting 207 (72, > 67, 68) to lead the Roadrunners
to the overall team title as CSUB shot an > aggregate 868 in
the two days.
Individually, Toro Kyle Wilson (San Diego, CA/Hilltop HS)
finished tied for 24th with a 232 (78, 76, 78), Dave Linsangan
(Paramount, CA/Carson HS) finished in 29th with a 234 (74, 83,
77), Francisco Reynoso (Compton, CA/Cerritos CC) ended his day
tied for 34th with a 248 (87, 79, 82), while Chris Whitaker
(Inglewood, CA/Inglewood, HS) rounded out the Toro contingent with
his two-day total of 265 (98, 87, 80), good for 40th place.
