Jenny Buncio Leads Toros at UC Irvine’s Cross Country Season Opener
September 11, 2004

Huntington Beach, CA – Cal State Dominguez Hills senior Jenny Buncio (Carson, CA/West Torrance HS) ran a team-best time of 20:10 in the 5k run at the UC Irvine cross country season-opening meet, leading the Toros at Central Park.

The senior crossed the line in 39th place in her first race since earning All-CCAA honors last season, followed by fellow senior Isabel Espinoza (Huntington Park, CA/ELAC), who crossed the line in 22:42.5.

Other CSUDH results are:

  • Peace Udechukwu, 124th (25:15.2)
  • Stephanie Peoples, 134th (31:56.8)
  • Trameeka Lark, 135th, 33:17.1

The Toros next compete in the Cal State Bakersfield Invitational, scheduled for Saturday, September 25.
