Seniors Jenny Buncio and Isabel Espinoza Lead Toros at Roadrunner Cross Country Festival

Bakersfield, CA – Cal State Dominguez Hills senior Jenny Buncio (Carson, CA/West Torrance HS) ran a season-best time of 19:12.84 in the 5k race, followed by fellow senior Isabel Espinoza (Huntington Park, CA/ELAC) with a time of 20:28.56, to lead the Toros to an overall runner-up finish at this morning’s 2004 Roadrunner Cross Country Festival, hosted by Cal State Bakersfield.

Buncio’s time placed her third in the race, finishing Ryan Mayfield and Zuzana Iler, who finished 1-2 for the host Roadrunners, who the overal team title. Espinoza followed in fourth place, just over a minute behind her teammate. Other CSUDH results are:

• Marcia Fenton, 35th (30:56.95)

The Toros next compete in the UC Riverside Invitational, scheduled for Saturday, October 2.
