Senior Jenny Buncio Finishes 8th to Pace Toros at UC San Diego Triton Classic
CSUDH places seventh overall in first 6k race of season

San Diego, CA – Cal State Dominguez Hills senior Jenny Buncio (Carson, CA/West Torrance HS) continued to lead the 2004 Toros cross country squad as she finished the 6k race in 8th place this morning at the UC San Diego Triton Classic.

Buncio crossed the finish line in a time of 24:32.6, less than a minute and a half off Mimi Hodgins’ time of 23:07.4, which paced the host Tritons and led UCSD to the overall team crown. As a team, the Toros finished seventh in the seven-entry Division II category, which was just one of five divisions participating in the event.
