Chino, CA -- Cal State Dominguez Hills senior
Jenny Buncio (Carson, CA/West Torrance) ended her 2004 season the
way she began, leading all CSUDH runners at the CCAA Championships
this morning, hosted by Cal Poly Pomona.
Buncio, who received her first career CCAA
Runner of the Week honor for the week of October 11-17, ran a
personal best 21:26.60 in the 6k run to finish 18th overall, just
1:17 off the time of Chico States Jennifer James, who
crossed the finish line in a 20:09.40.
A Carson native, Buncio has led the Toros in
every race this season, and was just :09.1 seconds away from
earning her second-consecutive All-CCAA honor as the Toros
2004 cross country season concluded this morning.
